To date, Race Engineering has built over 3000 Spec-Miata engines. The oldest active engine builder, Race Engineering has won more Championships than any other engine builder. In fact, most current SM engine builders have competed with Race Engineering engines, and in some cases, won Championships with them. Anyone who's anyone in Spec-Miata is using, or has used, Race Engineering engines with success.
2012 News and Updates As we wind down 2011, we take time to reflect on the great year we've had. For starters, Nathanial Sparks won the 2011 NASA Championship driving a Race Engineering powered 1.6. Part of the proven formula for success, several of the top 10 cars also had Race Engineering power. We must also give the nod to Charlie Hayes who stepped up, had a great year and nabbbed the 2011 Rookie of the Year award amongst some stiff competition. We kick off 2012 and Race Engineering power is already at the top of several Championship points races. With a new Rookie of the Year contest underway, we're excited about the potential for another stellar year. The leader in power, reliability and research, Race Engineering continues to be the industry leader in Competition Proven, Championship Winning, Spec Miata Engines.
2011 Rookie of the Year Winner Charlie Hayes We are proud
to announce that the Race Engineering 2011 Rookie of the Year award has
been given to Charlie Hayes. Charlie began racing in 2011 and has already
managed to turn heads. With respectable points finishes in 2011, Charlie
sets the bar even higher in 2012. While chasing a NASA National Championship, Charlie
also plans to compete in the Teen Mazda Challenge. We're proud to have him
represent Race Engineering on and off the track.
